Task mining for small teams: see what your team actually does every week.
Task mining watches work as it happens on each person's computer and finds what repeats. Luminars does it one team at a time, with each person in control of what is collected, and then runs what it finds: no log exports, no IT project.
You know the team repeats work. Nobody can tell you exactly what.
Ask, and you get half the list; hire a consultant, and you get a workshop and an invoice; buy a suite, and you get an IT project before the first result. Meanwhile the same tasks eat the week.
Say what you repeat. Your working days confirm it.
A three-minute interview asks what you repeat; then the app watches ordinary days on your own computer and, once a day, proposes the tasks it can prove, with the evidence. You can pause collection, exclude apps and schedule pauses at any time.
A three-minute interview.
Works on each person's own computer.
Evidence first, then the suggestion.
Each person controls what is collected.
One map of the team's recurring tasks, with the evidence and the hours each one takes.
For each person: the tasks they said they do, the tasks their days showed, how often, and how long each takes by hand. In a Process Mapping Sprint, this is the report on day 10.
What you said, beside what it saw.
How often, and how long by hand.
The whole team in one console.
In a sprint, this is the report.
Every process Luminars writes can run. No IT needed.
Review it, answer Dolly's questions and activate it: it runs on your computer, step by step in plain words you can read and stop, in the tools you already use. Every run adds its active minutes and the by-hand estimate to the console, so the business sees the hours returned from the first week; keep it in Luminars, or export it to n8n or your agent tools.
Activate with one click.
A human step wherever you want one.
Hours returned, counted from the first run.
Export any time.
Not an enterprise task mining suite.
Enterprise suites
- Log exports and agents rolled out by IT.
- A centre of excellence.
- Months of rollout.
- Dashboards for analysts.
- Automation is someone else's project.
Luminars
- Installed in minutes, one team at a time.
- Interview, watch, decide.
- First results within days.
- A console the business owner reads.
- Every task it finds is a draft ready to activate.
What it does not do.
Needs a few ordinary days first. Nothing to show on day one.
Once a day, never live. It looks at the end of the day, not while you work.
Nothing from what you excluded. Excluded apps and scheduled pauses stay out.
Never turns itself on. You activate a process. Nothing starts on its own.
Common questions about task mining.
What is task mining?
Software that watches work as it happens on people's computers and finds what repeats. Process mining, by contrast, reads system logs.
What does task mining software record?
On the person's own computer: the screen, the text on it, where clicks and keystrokes happen, and audio as a transcript. The person can pause it, exclude apps and schedule pauses; screen and audio recordings are deleted after a number of days they choose.
How long before there are results?
A few ordinary working days.
Is Luminars an enterprise task mining suite?
No. One team at a time, no IT project, and it runs what it finds.
Does it also run what it finds?
Yes. Every task it finds is a draft you review and activate; it then runs on the person's own computer.
