Luminars

Automate work without any work.

Luminars finds the tasks your team repeats, writes them down as processes and runs them in one click. No consultant, no IT project.

48%* of your team's week can be automated.

In a company of 10 to 50 people, much of the week is repeated work: invoices, onboarding, reports, follow-ups. The hard part is not automating it, but the months of interviews, documentation and IT work before the first process runs.

* From McKinsey, The economic potential of generative AI (2023).

Today, automating one process takes months and three different specialists.

Someone interviews the team, someone writes the process down, someone builds the automation: each waits for the one before. By the time the building starts, the description is already out of date.

The figures show a typical project. They are not a quote.

Luminars does all three, in one app. From finding the process to running it.

Each person installs the app on their own computer. It watches how they work, finds the processes that repeat, writes them down and turns them into automations ready to run in minutes.

Works with the tools you already use. Nothing to integrate before you start.

Luminars writes the processes while your team works. Then runs them in one click.

01Process discovery

Luminars watches how you work and finds what repeats.

Luminars runs in the background on each person's computer and notes which apps, which data and in what order. When a job comes back, it proposes it as a process with the evidence attached: "Seen four times in the last two weeks, about 40 minutes each."

Pause collection any time. One click pauses it; scheduled pauses stop it at the same hours every day.

Choose the apps it never reads. Add an app to Excluded apps and nothing from it is collected.

You control collection. Your company sees work findings. Beta learning uploads have a separate control in Settings.

Nothing turns on by itself. Every process Luminars finds is a proposal: open it, snooze it or dismiss it.

02Process recording

Want a specific process automated? Show it once.

Press Record, do the job in your own tools and say what you are doing as you go. When you stop, the process is written; if a screen cannot show something, Dolly asks you in chat, one question at a time.

Do it, show it or just say it. A step you only said, and never showed, is marked as such.

Explain it out loud. Say what you are doing while you work: your words become the steps.

Like briefing a colleague. It knows your tools already; you only explain the exceptions.

Record, work, stop. Nothing else to learn. The draft is written when you stop.

03Ready to run

Every process is ready to run in minutes. No IT needed.

A process Luminars writes is not a document for a developer: it already runs. Turn it on and it runs on that person's computer as a transcript: every step visible, it stops when you say so, and it asks before a decision you told it to check.

Not a replay of your clicks. It uses the tools you connected; where there is no connector it works on screen while you watch.

It asks before the steps you choose. The run stops, shows what it is about to do and waits for your approval.

Change it by telling Dolly. Every change is a saved version you can compare and undo.

Connect a tool in one click. Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion and Asana, plus the tools a process names.

04Run or export

Run it in Luminars, or wherever you already run automations.

Every process exports as an Agent Skill or an n8n workflow, or stays in Luminars. Either way it is yours to keep.

On a schedule, or when you press Run. Every Friday at nine, or right now.

Runs on the person's computer. While the computer is on. Nothing runs on a server.

A real n8n workflow. It imports into a standard n8n; you add the credentials there.

Any agent tool can open it. A SKILL.md and an AGENTS.md, in the format the agent tools you already use read.

Install in one click. Collection starts right away.

Roll it out to the people you choose. Nothing to set up, nothing to integrate.

Know what to automate in days, not months.

Instead of guessing where AI will help, measure which processes take the most time, repeat the most and can run on their own. The list comes from your team's real work, not from a workshop.

Without Luminars

  • Weeks of interviews to discover the work.
  • Weeks of documentation that is wrong in the details.
  • An agency or IT project to build each automation.
  • Three or four tools to buy and learn.
  • Someone to update it all when the work changes.

With Luminars

  • Luminars finds the processes in the background from day one.
  • Processes are written from what was seen, not from memory.
  • Every process runs as soon as it is written.
  • One tool, AI included.
  • Every week the console shows what changed on the map.

See what each automation gives back, hour by hour.

The console compares each process with how long it took by hand and counts the hours returned per person, per process, per week. The numbers come from the runs themselves, not from a slide.

The console lists every process, who owns it, how often it runs and how long it took by hand. It is the map of how your team works, and every run updates it.

You control collection. Choose what is collected and shared.

Pause collection, exclude apps and set scheduled pauses. Choose how long local screen and audio recordings are kept. In this beta, Help improve Luminars uploads original screen and audio recordings and investigation archives to Luminars for evaluation. You can turn it off in Settings → Data. Your company receives work findings, not these archives.

Two weeks, up to five people, about an hour each. You leave with a map of your team's recurring work, the processes written, at least two running and the exported skills, which stay yours.

Frequently asked questions

What is captured?

On the person's computer: the screen, the text on it, where clicks and keystrokes happen, and the microphone as a transcript. The person can pause it, exclude apps and set scheduled pauses; screen and audio are deleted after 14 days unless they choose another period.

Where does it go?

Process descriptions and run records sync to your workspace. AI requests use the selected provider. In this beta, Help improve Luminars uploads original screen and audio recordings and investigation archives to Luminars for evaluation. You can turn it off in Settings → Data. Your company receives work findings, not these archives.

Do I need IT or a developer to set this up?

No. Install takes one click, collection starts right away and every process Luminars writes already runs. Exporting to n8n or an agent tool is optional.

Is this employee monitoring?

No. Nobody at the company can see a screen, a keystroke or an audio file. Each person controls their own collection, and the company gets process descriptions and run results, nothing else.

Which operating systems?

macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, and Windows. The Windows build is newer.

Does it run without me?

A process runs on the person's computer while it is on, as a transcript you can read. It stops at any point and asks before a decision you chose to approve; nothing runs on a server.

What does it cost, and how do I start?

Plans are monthly and priced on active processes, AI included. Download the app, answer three minutes of questions and choose a plan; a company that wants the map first books the sprint.

Start with one process.

Install the app on your computer, answer three minutes of questions and let it find a task you repeat. Nothing runs until you have read it.
