Install in 3 steps.
Open the file you downloaded. Double-click the .dmg in your Downloads folder.
Drag Luminars into Applications. Move the icon into your Applications folder.
Open Luminars and allow the permissions. macOS asks for 4 permissions: screen recording, accessibility, input monitoring and microphone. The app asks for them 1 at a time and says what each one is for.

3 minutes with Dolly. Pick your role, tick the tasks you repeat, name the apps you use. Then work as usual: Luminars collects context in the background. When you want a process right away, record it.
You choose a plan at the end of the setup, inside the app. Not before.
What you have by the end of the day.
Your first suggestions. After a few hours of ordinary work, Luminars proposes the tasks you repeat and says why: what you told it and what it saw.
Your first process, written. Record a job you do every week. When you stop, the steps are written out and Dolly asks you about the exceptions.
Your first run. Switch the process on and read the transcript as it runs. Beside it, the time the job took by hand: your first hour back.
You control collection.
Pause collection, exclude apps and set scheduled pauses. Choose how long local screen and audio recordings are kept. In this beta, Help improve Luminars uploads original screen and audio recordings and investigation archives to Luminars for evaluation. You can turn it off in Settings → Data. Your company receives work findings, not these archives.
How we handle dataYou control collection.
Your company sees processes and runs. In this beta, Help improve Luminars separately uploads original recordings to Luminars for evaluation; you can turn it off in Settings → Data.
